Both handsets are excellent mobile phones with few differences that distinguishes them from each other. The HTC Dream is a touchscreen handset with a finely finished casing that enhances its appeal. The casing measures 117.7 x 55.7 x 17.1 mm and weighs 158 grams. The TFT capacitive touchscreen is 3.2 inches in size with 320 x 480 pixels resolution and is capable of displaying upto 65 thousand colours. Below the touchscreen is a trackball navigator along with few other quick access keys. Full QWERTY keyboard provides easy text entry during messaging and browsing. It also has an accelerometer sensor for auto rotate. The LG GD510 will appear in a comparatively compact design with dimensions of 97.8 x 49.5 x 11.2 mm and weight only 87 grams. It is incredible for any mobile to have such light weight. It is also a touchscreen phone but its TFT resistive touchscreen differs from the capacitive technology. The 3.0 inches screen is slightly smaller but has better resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and is capable of displaying upto 256K colours. It has a multi-functional home key which is missing in the other handset. Accelerometer sensor is a common feature between the two mobile phones. The Dream is a 3G HSDPA plus wi-fi handset while these two important features are missing in the GD510. But GPRS and EDGE, present in both, provides smooth and uninterrupted browsing experience to the users. Both handsets carry bluetooth and USB technology that enables fast transfer of data between mobile phones with other devices. Local networks are also established using the bluetooth facility. The inbuilt cameras in both phones are very similar in strength and resolution. Both are 3.15 MP cameras with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution but the HTC Dream has an additional auto-focus feature that improves the picture quality. The HTC Dream and the LG GD510 comes with a card slot to expand storage space but differs in the inbuilt internal memory. The Dream carries a 192 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM while the HTC phone only has 42 MB RAM. Better internal memory allows smooth running of advance applications on the handset. Both mobile phones are laced with powerful batteries that offer excellent backup to the users. The HTC Dream and the LG GD510 are gorgeous mobiles with major difference of querty keypad, 3G HSDPA and Wi-Fi present in the HTC mobile. In comparison, the LG GD510 is very compact and convenient to carry. Both has the potential to provide users with a wonderful mobile experience.
