There are many companies those permit to host your website in their server and also give you a sub domain name. Many people don’t want to waste money for hosting the website and prefer to get the free services for hosting their websites. A few people get satisfaction after hosting their websites in the free services. Most of the people suffer badly after getting the free services. There are some problems of taking the free services for website hosting. Some restrictions may be boring for you and you have limited control over the website and cpanel. The restrictions and disadvantages should be known before choosing the free service for website hosting.
The first problem is that you will not be able to get the suitable domain name for your website. This will damage the main purposes of your website and you may have to bear the additional name with your domain name. Suppose you are willing to get the free services of “freeftp” then you will be given a domain name including the name freeftp. You are going to be the media of advertisement and you are advertising for getting the free service.
Most of the free service providers give direct ads in your website and those ads spoil the beauty of your sites. It is one of the great problems for taking these types of free services. The attractive portion may be covered with their ads and the site may be ugly to look at. The free services providers don’t permit you give the advertisements in your site and rather than that they give some ads in your site.
The free service will give you limited access on the cpanel and will not be able to do many things. Mainly the service providers are the author of the site and you have to bear their advertisements. The services are also very limited that they don’t permit to upload the MPEG, MP3 and some ZIP files in the server. You will get the low sized space in their server and you are not able to upload the files more than that the capability which is pre defined. Some significant portions of the website are blocked by the advertisement of the service provider. Some of the free servers don’t support PHP, ASP or some scripting language. It is one of the great restrictions of free services. You will not be able to design your website using varieties of languages.
All free services are not safe and some of them may have destructive aims for giving the free services. If you make a site which permits online transaction, then your server may not be secure if you use the free services. They may steal the password of the credit card and affect on your transactional procedure. The server is fully unknown to you and you are given limited access. So, you should avoid online transaction, when you are willing to use free domain and hosting. The bandwidth of the free server may not be satisfactory for you and your clients. There are also some other restrictions and problems in using the free service for hosting your website.
